The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE), a pressure group, jubilantly announced last week that Hilton is to call time on on-demand pornography at its hotels, and that NCOSE would therefore be removing the hotel chain from its list of “leading contributors of sexual exploitation”. In a statement Hilton said that most of its properties had already ditched the service. It had concluded, it continued, that “adult video-on-demand entertainment is not in keeping with our company’s vision and goals moving forward.” But, most tellingly, it also suggested that its moral arbitration would not extend to censoring guests’ WiFi.
