Loonie and oil take a dive as U.S. plans to sell off part of strategic reserve

The Canadian dollar lost two-thirds of a cent to trade at 75.44 cents US on Friday, dragged lower largely due to continuing weakness in oil prices which slid below $43 a barrel.
